Obstacles

This week has been rather stressful. Treading the borderline between a C and D, Physics is proving to be more of a problem than I had originally thought it to be. This weekend is geared more to studying the previous chapters and doing the new chapter's homework, as well as the three pages of Pre-calculus that was assigned to me today. Sunday is a work day, so not much work will be done on that day. I made it a point to make up the third Gateway for Pre-calculus on Monday with myself, so I'm hoping that I get around to studying for that as well.
Today, I've barely gotten a chance to rest. I've been busy since the moment I woke up this morning. Thursdays are always so busy.

the rest of this semester is the final push to improving my current grades.

At least I know what I have planned for the spring semester. I plan on taking Architecture 120, Math 190, and Speech 1 or 3. I've currently racked up 27 transferrable units not including this Fall semester.

I always feel that I'm always so troubled. I've noticed that I've become more and more easily stressed over the smallest things. My energy levels have dropped and I don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe I'm finally losing it, but that'll have to wait until after this semester is through.
I've lost my train of thought and I don't even know what I'm writing anymore.

Wow Already!

What amazes me is how fast time has been passing these past few weeks. What amazes me even more is the weather. Honestly, I don't understand it at all. It's November, yet it's still hot. I can't wear my sweater all day. I can't wait for it to cool down a bit more. I'd become a lot more appreciative about the weather.

I haven't had much to say about anything lately, if you couldn't already tell. Life's been coming at me fast and I really don't know how to explain any of it. Maybe some day I will come up with it. I'm just trying to take it slowly, one day at a time. I always find myself looking forward to my weekends because they're always a lot of fun for me. I'm learning not to take my time spent for granted. It's a gradual process, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

So what's on the agenda, you ask? Looks like home cookin', beach, winging it! I'm quite excited for this weekend. I also have three pages of Pre-calculus homework and a chapter's worth of Physics, but I have a lot of time to do it :D

:)

Right now I'm supposed to be studying for a Pre-Calculus exam, but I still have about three hours to study so I'm going to take the time to catch up with you all about what's been happening lately.

So thanks to Pauline, I have discovered extravagant long term parking around UCI which is about a mile and a half from her apartment. As a result, each time I decide to park there, bringing a set of wheels such as a skateboard is a must.

So how did last Friday go? I'm glad you asked.

So I've learned a few things other than the parking thing, which I've mentioned above. I learned that I need to take my own pillow. I've learned that the shuttles do not run on weekends. I learned that making food really isn't that hard and that I'm just lazy. I learned that Pauline is really good at air hockey. I learned that I need to re-learn how to skate. I learned that landing on Income Tax on the first dice roll in a game of Monopoly is certainly a bad omen for the rest of the game. Finally, I learned that bed head is a lot of fun.

I arrived at around 1PM on Friday and did not go home until 6:30PM the following day. Those hours spent there felt like a dream, almost. It feels like it has been a while since I could enjoy myself so much like that in a long time.

Walking around in a park in the middle of the night. Air hockey at 1AM. Board games. Sitting and talking about anything that comes to mind. I realized how much I missed the simple nothings of sitting around on a lazy day and talking.

About the pillow, I suppose that it was a little too big, leaving me unable to sleep due to the slight discomfort. After jumping in bed at 3AM, I did not sleep until 6:30 when the room started to become a little brighter after I took a corner of my blanket, folded it into a pillow and used that. I ended up getting a grand total of about 4 hours of sleep. My mom woke me up at around 8:30 by calling me, which I gladly answered...I fell asleep right after the call, only to be woken up again at 10:30 for the last time.

Sunday was my hell day, essentially. Work...not fun when tired!

By Monday, I was already wishing for the week to be over. The day was just like any normal Monday. Wake up. Go to Physics. Pass time until Architecture. Go to Architecture. Get out of Architecture. Go home.

It's interesting that my dad, a 19 years' architect, is trying to convince me to go into law. It must be some kind of warning. As a result, I'm going to be looking more into both fields to see what the benefits of both fields are.

I went with Rikio and Danny to the midnight release of Fable II, which Rikio wanted to buy. After finding at the gamestop that we went to at the Ghettoria was closed, we went to the one by El Camino and waited there for a half hour, only to find that we had to go to back to the Galleria one. Another half an hour passed and we were let inside to wait another half an hour before gamestop opened their doors. Rikio got the game and we got out and went home.

Half an hour later, I'm still typing this and I don't know why it took so long to write. Pre-calculus needs my attention so I'm going to get back to that now.

Physics is a love/hate relationship

So it's around 1AM and I'm studying for a physics exam at 9AM about Work, Forces, and Friction. Conservation of Energy is not a very fun concept to grasp with the whole Kinetic/Potential energy bull. By now, most people are sleeping, except Khiem, whom makes sporadic appearances on AIM. Never mind he just signed off. I'm only awake right now because I drank a cup of coffee and I'm feeling okay. In the back of my mind, I'm dreading the near future of today. I must wake up at 8AM to be at class by 9. I will most likely be able to leave early, so I'll take that time to head over to the library to study for a Pre-Calculus gateway exam. I hate those exams with the passion of a thousand burning suns and their mothers. After taking the gateway and being assigned a retarded workload of homework for that class, it'll come time for me to go to work from 5-10:15. I enjoy closing shifts on this day because I can have a bento waiting for me on Friday morning, waiting to be warmed up. However, tomorrow, I am dreading such a thing because I will most likely be pretty tired. I don't particularly enjoy working while I'm low on energy and I'm sure that I speak for many others as well. Once I am through with work, the glory will have arrived: well earned rest time. I plan to wake up at a late 9AM to go shopping some, fill up the gas tank, do whatever else I need to do that might come to mind while I'm doing these activities, and make the 45 mile trek to Irvine to beat Pauline at Monopoly.

Monopoly. Yes. The board game. We have an active bet for a single game of Monopoly. Loser must jump into the swimming pool there fully clothed. Sounds like fun (Only if it turns out to be a retarded warm day again, that is). So I won't be losing this event. Food making will be in order and there will be fire, death, knives, and vegetables.

Parking for UCI is most enjoyful when the close parking only allows you a pathetic 60 minutes of permit time. However, it has been established that there is more long term parking (up to something like 3 days? It's some rediculous amount of parking time) about 1.75 miles away. Danny is supplying me with a skateboard and my plan is to skate over. I do hope I don't forget anything in my car this time. So, to sum this weekend up, I have homework, Monopoly, studying, and work in mind.

Physics has me on a leash right now and I've been given the confidence of several supportive (and not so supportive :P) friends that I'll do just FINE.

That is the sort of confidence that treads in dangerous waters. Not to be overconfident, I remain awake, still on a coffee boost, attempting to study.

Alrighty, I'm going back to studying. Wish me luck for the exams because I'll need it!

And I should probably make a post about Knotts Scary Farm from 10/10/2008. It was quite a fun time :O

Underneath my Chest, I Couldn't Put it to Rest

I decided to name this title after a line found in Cobra Con's song "Would You" because I didn't really know what else to title this entry. So it's been since the 22nd I guess since the last time I wrote anything. Things have changed even more since then. Imagine that. Life had been going in slow motion until recently and then suddenly everything is changing.

Starting with the most recent events on Saturday, I got a new sweater, some shirts, and a haircut. I had lost one of my rubber stoppers on my plugs so that night I got my lobes widened to 6ga from 10ga. I can now stick toothpicks and stuff through my ear now. It's tons of fun lol

Friday was a day played completely on a whim. The only thing that was actually planned was taking my car in for a service. So yes, my hazard switch is now fixed. I took it in during the morning with Danny and we had originally planned to go to CSUSB to visit German, who happened to be in Redondo anyways. We picked up Tin and went to my house and we hung out for a bit. I stared at craigslist for about 30 minutes before Rikio came by. Danny decided that we would follow an earlier stated suggestion by me: to visit Irvine to find a place to get free parking near UCI.

We left within five minutes of that, on our way to Irvine via 405 freeway. After we arrived in Irvine, I showed them the wonderful parking that UCI has for visitors and their policy. I showed them where I had previously parked. "Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight," I counted as we passed by some visitor parking spots, some with a car in it, some without. The last car in the row had people in it. We parked over in the 8th spot while Rikio said "Look it's Pauline," which he later said that it didn't register to him that it really was her until after he had said that. It indeed was Pauline and her friend Michelle. What we did end up doing was going to a nearby plaza to grab some food, where only Tin and Danny ended up eating, the fatties. After eating, we decided to go home so we could get stuck in the 405 traffic. I guess I fell asleep in the car for a while, though I said that I was "on the verge of falling asleep." I was awakened by the ringing of my cell phone to see that Pauline was calling me and she asked if I was interested in bringing myself and friends to see a movie later. Fuck yeah I was down, though out of all the people in the car, only Tin ended up going. I took Morgan as well that night.

I had to get my car. It was 4:15 and my car was now ready, just in time for rush hour traffic. I had no ride and my dad said he wouldn't take me until he had to go out that way at 7. So I did wait. Morgan said we would arrive at my car by 7:43 and we got to my car at exactly 7:43. "My predictions are flawless!" he said. From there, we took the wrong freeway and we got off in Westwood. We had to find the 10 East freeway. I called Pauline to let her know that we were lost. Morgan said we would arrive at her house at 8:47. After driving down Pico for what felt like a millenia, we found the 10E. For the last leg of the freeway trip, Morgan was steering while I was working the pedals as we weaved between cars, trying to make it to her house by 8:47. The funny thing was that Morgan didn't even know where Pauline lived. We arrived in front of her house at 8:47. "My predictions are flawless!" he boasted again. We went to the movie theatre in Alhambra with Pauline, Iris, and Michelle. We saw Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which was interesting to see Michael Cera playing as a SxE guy. It was an enjoyable movie and contained much different humor from Superbad, which I thought was good.

11:30. The night was definitely not over. We decided on going to a haunted forest up in Pasadena. I called Mario to get directions to the place while Morgan drifted up and down the parking structure we parked in with my car. Morgan took the helm for the next portion of the night. Iris had to go home, so it was just five of us. We all went in my car.

I must say, it is really strange to sit in the back seat of your own car while it is in motion. I thought riding shotgun was weird...

We found the place and ran into another group that was just leaving. They said it was really creepy. I couldn't wait to go in there. The only problem was that I was wearing sandals. Michelle was too. While I talked about being rolled the previous adventure with haunted places, a bright, but familiar floodlight lit the forest where we walked with another group.

This time we did not get arrested. We were only told to leave.

So we did leave. The rest of the night was aimless driving all through LA county. Morgan took us through a canyon run in Pasadena, pushing my car to its limits. After nearly hitting a large deer and pack of opossum, we left the canyon and drove on the freeway and went back onto the street and somehow ended up on the other side of downtown where Slauson met the 110 freeway.

We did eventually drop Michelle and Pauline off and I did not get to slip into bed until around 4:30. It was a hell of a night. It was very easy to tag that night as an adventure. If we had another car of people, it would've been insanity.

I'm sure there are parts that I left out but that was Friday. It's nearly Tuesday now.

This week is hell week.

...Until Friday at least :D

Life. Discuss.

This is my third attempt at writing this entry, as I was in dire need of creating an excuse for myself to not do these activity sheets for Pre-calculus, despite having a test tomorrow. However, these things will be completed and turned in, and I will be ready for this test.

Compared to where I was six months ago, things have progressed a great deal. Priorities will change often, as they are now. Work is becoming ever so important, but at the same time, work is creating a lot of stress in my life. Although I didn't think that it would be an incredible burden, the three classes that I am currently taking is beginning to take its toll.

But will I let this apprehend my drive?

Fuck no, I won't.

Just means that it's time to go into overdrive. It's just a bunch of information that needs to be stored into my head. It's no easy task and it's a big task, but the reward is plain: a piece of paper that shows proof that I can handle the pain and that I'm ready for thirty more years of it!

I can't write anymore because I'm simply too tired to think any further. Anticipate a part two!

Make up your mind!

Is it hot or is it cold? The weather can't seem to decide. Mornings are starting to feel as fall/winter should be, but as the day progresses, it begins to feel like a muggy summer. The weather should just make up its mind and be just one or the other.

Last night was the first time in a LONG time that I had sleeping issues. I went to sleep at 12:30 and woke up at least four times before 4AM. Alarm went off at 6AM and here I am now, writing this for you at 7:20.

Last night, I worked closing shift and I discovered a new benefit of being the last cashier to leave...the El Dorado of bento. So in my excitement of discovering this news, I forgot to punch out before I left work haha.

I've been at my uncle's apartment while he's in the south Pacific, taking care of the place, as well as having another stressful week. The stresses never end, apparently.

Physics exam Thursday, which I haven't studied for and two Precalc exams on Tuesday.

I didn't pass the first gateway, but it's stupid when you have to get 9/10 or else you fail. I just have to keep taking it until I pass.

The worst part about all this is that it will probably get worse. First thing's first though. I need to get through this, dammit.

I've Been a Busy, Bustling Bee

So as expected, school has started and as a result I've been rather busy. Kept at bay as expected. So, I'm taking Physics 2A, Math 180(Pre-Calculus), and Architecture 150A. Alongside with those hours of lecture, I have to do 4.5 hours of Architecture lab per week whenever I choose, and a three hour lab extending from 9AM-12:10PM on Thursdays. I've made myself available on all days of the week for work except for Mondays and Wednesdays, which I will be there until 6:15PM for Architecture labs.

So how about that social life? Lately, I've been hanging out a lot with Morgan and Danny and that's been pretty interesting, considering these two love to eat. We've been playing some Soul Calibur 4 at my house and I guess we have our main characters pretty much established so we've been having some fun with that. (My main is Seong Mina with Xianghua secondary ;D)

So how do the MSword adventures fare? I'm glad you asked. Actually, because of my lack of availability and free time at home, I've been unable to advance at all, along with the lack of inspiration holding me back. Soon enough, I'll be back on track.

So, why S2000? I've put a lot of thought into it and the most that I can say is one simple, three lettered word: "Fun." I want to be a Honda S2000 owner because I think that it would be just darned skippy to be able to drive one of those two seater monsters. And it's interesting that I choose to stick with this vehicle dispite how much modifications will cost for it and insurance and gas and the like but even so, this drive for such a machine revolves around the three lettered word, "Fun." I think it'll be worth it. Just need to keep working for it and I'll be getting speeding tickets all day long!

Check out my facebook for new updated photos.

New Music:
Hollywood Undead- "Swan Songs"
All Shall Perish- "Awaken the Dreamers"

No Clue What to Title this Blog

Well recent days have been revolving around work and such. Normal days of hanging out with ppl. I saw Tropic Thunder and Pineapple Express since the last blog, which were both pretty entertaining. Tropic Thunder really took upon the cliche Vietnam war movie style, while making it hilarious to watch.

I've gotten my first paycheck from work so I was pretty stoked about that.

However, I'm as poor as I've ever been with nothing more than gas cards and my driver's license in my wallet.

Today was a planned epic day by Khiem involving tasers and a syringe full of lotion which looked like semen.

The first time I saw this syringe was when Khiem busted this interesting story about a new sperm bank wing being added into the military hospital. Then he pulls out the syringe and squirts you with this lotion, which quite accurately resembled semen.

He got Morgan twice, got me once, got Tin on the lip, Calvin in the eye, and Jelly in the mouth twice.

He got a lot of people. He also managed to get my car.

About the taser, Morgan tased himself several times, which I have captured on video. Khiem got shocked and I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but Morgan got tased several times. Getting tased by that particular taser isn't horrible, but it's still enough to deter you if you're trying to mess with the person with the taser.

The driveby with the airsoft guns was successful and Khiem was thoroughly satisfied. He had finally gotten his revenge for the time back during our Senior year when Khiem was "pregnant" after eating at Cheesecake Factory. Shelly poked him in the stomach and was in pain. He swore he would get her back in the future. That happened tonight.

All in all, today was pretty excellent, even if Korean BBQ managed to completely deplete my wallet. Props to Khiem for making it happen.

August!

So over the course of the past two weeks, summer classes have finished, I've gotten a job, and I've been out so very late almost every night.

The night before the final exam consisted of 6 hours of studying and bowling from 11PM to 2:30AM. There were eight people there, which by the end of the games, each person had their name "Tin" except for Tin's entry whose name was "Tan." It was Tin's first time bowling. It was pretty fun, as bowling should be.

Two girls from Japan are visiting, which Morgan and Aki are taking care of because it is their turn to experience another country, just like they did when they went over to Japan.

Experience America, huh?

What's that?

After a full night/half morning of trying to find ways that America is unique to Japan, we've concluded that America has the Queen Mary, has guns, and has coffee stations at the 711 stores.

Oh yeah and don't forget crappy American food. We went to a Carrow's at 4AM and Aki orded this sampler because it looked good on the menu. That must have been the best damn advertising in the world because it tasted like plastic!

I applied to Nijiya some time ago. I submitted my application, got an interview, and got the job. yay first job. Time to get working. I go to Nijiya today to fill out papers.

Milk Man

Wow. I almost thought the night would end at 11. No way. This night was pretty damn crazy.

In this story, you will read about crazy old men driving milk trucks at 3AM, a crazy drunk girl, cars hitting walls for no apparent reason at all, and more.

The first place we really went to was Torrance Crossroads over on Lomita and Crenshaw around 11 to visit Danny, who was at a little hangout with ppl that own Honda cars. We were there for maybe 3 minutes before going to In-n-Out where we spent about an hour at. There, it was Reem, Ashley, Stephanie, Danny, Tin, Morgan, and I. Morgan drew an interesting drawing on one of the bags with a bunch of burgers smoking cigarettes, a skeleton smoking four cigarettes, Donald Trump, which he scratched out his name and wrote Donald Duck, and some other crap I can't even remember. He wrote down his name and his phone number and left it at the register so that the cashiers couldn't see it, but people that ordered things could.

No more than an hour later, Morgan received a text saying "I found your drawing."

By the time that we left, Danny, Ashley, Reem, and Stephanie had left and Aki had joined us in another epic adventure of randomness and endless laughs.

I forgot where we went first, but we wound up at the Del Amo mall to walk around. No more than 30 seconds after getting out of the car, something happened. There was a girl that was somewhere in her twenties and there was a security SUV with people talking to the girl. It was obvious to us that she was drunk + other things that we couldn't guess. Morgan said she was with us and she followed us as we walked around the plaza. The weird thing was that nobody could understand what she was saying. She also got cigarettes out of the trash. By that point, we felt that we needed to formulate some sort of exit strategy, which came naturally. We walked back to the car but the girl was asking if she could have a ride. After Morgan refused several times, we jumped into the car and locked the doors and left.

We went over to Koraku I believe it was...my memory is shot after going under so much stress lol. But we were there until they closed at 3AM and ate a bunch of stuff where Morgan broke his expensive headphones. What was interesting about this part was that when we left, I was the only one who heard it, but it was a lot of screeching following a revving engine and then a crunch.

As we left the parking spot, I saw it: a 240SX that hopped a six inch curb and faceplanted into a wall. Was Batman really that good of a movie that some guy can shoot out of the plaza driveway and hit a wall with his car and not even care? He was laughing when he got out of the car.

We went into Palos Verdes and that night/morning it was foggy. Very foggy! So we drove up in the mountains with our lights off half the time or drove through dense fog with a visibility of ten feet going 40 through narrow streets, using the lines in the middle of the road and the reflectors to guide us. Several times we almost died, whether it be discovering a cal de sac or cars parked on the side of the road. We also stopped in a really creepy area with some fog and weird blue lighting from the moon and Morgan turns off his car. We sit there in complete silence and within twenty seconds, we're back off driving at 40 because Morgan saw something move.

We also saw something rather unique: a milk truck in the shape of a rape van with the cab lights on. We could see that it was an older man with crazy hair. He pulls up to us and asks us for directions. Who the fuck drives a milk truck at 3AM and asks for directions? Honestly.

More near death experiences ensued, and we wound up at a donut shop over by the crossroads again. Whats this? A man ordering more than five boxes of donuts. That's over $250 worth of donuts! "What if it was a drug deal?" Aki wondered out loud. We forgot about it and dropped Tin off at home then we all went home. The time was around 4:30 when we concluded our adventure. There was supposed to be a waffle party at Morgan's house that I was going to go to at like 10 but when I woke up to reply to Tin's text, I fell back asleep.

Another Epic Night

Imagine being in a world where the streets are empty at night and a place that would normally be filled with life while the sun is out be void of life during the night when the fog lays a haunting film of mystery into your world of emptiness between the skyscrapers. That was the world I was in with Danny, Tin, Morgan, Aki, and German. Two cars, five guys, one epic adventure.

It started at around 8PM when Tin and I were hungry and wanted to eat some place cheap after another day at school and having a party in the study room with Peter and German along with the normal group of Tin and Morgan. Tin and I decided we wanted some place cheap so we wanted to hit up a Pho restaurant. In our midst of travelling, we called Morgan after picking up German and that's how our adventure kicked off.

We went to El Camino to meet up with Morgan and we took two cars to Tozai plaza to go to the pho restaurant. When we arrived, he suggested an even cheaper place at Nijiya. We went on over to there only to discover that the place that sold this $3 soba was closed. We ended up buying croquettes and bread and shumai to fill us up. That was round one.

We then discussed a plan for later that evening. By then it was 10:30. We would meet up later to hit up a Japanese crepe place over by Diamond Bar. I split with Tin and Morgan and took German with me. Went back to my house to pick some stuff up, I told my mom I'd be home by 1AM. German picked up some cash and we went to Morgan's house and met up with Tin while Morgan was inside his house taking a shower.

I left my car there and went one car with Morgan to pick up Aki. From there, we began our journey to the crepe place. While on Artesia heading over to the 405S, Danny calls me and asks me where I was. I told him where we were at the time and he turned out to be a block behind us. So we took the 405S > 110N > 10E > 60E . Danny eventually caught up with us, though Morgan insisted on trying to get to 120mph via cruise control buttons.

We arrived at the crepe place to find that it was closed.

Eventually we found ourselves at a Denny's after a series of races between Danny and Morgan's cars. Two lane streets that are completely empty = heaven.

At the Denny's to name a few things that went down were Morgan eating a chicken wing along with the bone and swallowing it, a wonderful soup out of the chicken wing bowl, and Morgan messing his eyes up while trying to make two forks look like three.

More races ensued and we ended up in Downtown LA. By this time it was around 2. The streets were completely empty and not many people were walking on the sidewalk. It was a creepy kind of feeling, but at the same time it was a great experience to see how empty downtown was.

While there, we visited over five gas stations because Morgan wanted to buy gas for his car.

We visited the spiral parking structure which is like the spiral in Tokyo Drift. Tons of fun there!

We finally ended up at a pho restaurant and I had some pho.

We went to a billiards place because Morgan wanted to play pool. In the place there was about ten tables there. Aki asked how much it was, the guy said $12 an hour. However, he said that "There was no parking," though we were already parked? We came to believe he didn't want us there because we were not Korean. Morgan went down to his car and pulled out all the rotting oranges from his trunk (about 15) and left them in the parking lot.

More races and more near death experiences occured and we headed back towards Redondo, but got off on an offramp way far away from Redondo. We hit Crenshaw and even more races happened.

The night was beginning to come to an end. The time was then 4AM. We dropped off Tin first and we all went home from there. Danny ended up sleeping on my couch. I didn't sleep until 5:30. The end.

2008/07/16

Epic night

So the day started as it normally would: going to school and getting study room to do homework. As expected, days with Morgan are normally of epic magnitude in terms of events and laughs. Morgan told Tin and I that Weinersnitzel was having a free chili dog/ice cream thing today from 5-8PM. We took full advantage of that by visiting 5 different places. We also acquired several job applications to Marukai x2, Mitsuwa, and King's Hawaiian. We want to work.

After deciding to not go to class, Morgan came with Tin and I back to my house where we received a call from Aki. We then ferried ourselves over to his house to pick him up and go have real dinner. The place that we were supposed to go to was in Compton, so we expected to die. We bumped some music and got off at the wrong exit and got lost for half an hour. We finally found the place after going back and forth AVALON only to realize that it was closed. An old man with a fresh plate sat on a bench outside, eating it, bringing us to the conclusion that they had just closed. Disappointed and near the 110N, Morgan asked if we wanted to go to Daikokuya. We wholeheartedly agreed so we hopped on the 110 and went over to Downtown.

J-town is very quiet at 10PM on Tuesday night. However, we still had to wait half an hour to go eat at Daikokuya. Well the food was great anyhow. Morgan got a dish different from the ramen and regretted it because in his heart, he really did want ramen.

So what does he do?

After receiving our check, Morgan asks for a Daikoku ramen.

He nearly finishes it, too. He packs the rest in a container and we leave.

It was around 12AM when we left, but the night had just begun. We stopped by a frozen yogurt parlor, which was closed. Morgan walked in and asked if the machines were still on. We left J-town and passed through K-town. By now Morgan was delerious and was talking gibberish and rambling like some old man with PTSD and schizophrenia.

We stopped at a Jack in the Box because Morgan wanted ice cream. The place was closed but the drive-thru was open so we decided to go there. Morgan was going Tourettes mode again. He began to order before he even drove up to the speaker. He also mentioned his thoughts about Jack in the Box not having shakes at the time. Anyways, he drives up to the speaker and orders two Kona coffee shakes. The guy at the drive-thru happens to report to us that they have no shakes at the moment and Morgan bursts out laughing. This got the drive-thru guy to start laughing as well lol. We got trapped by another car so we had to just wait and drive through the whole thing and the guy was looking at us like we were stoners or something, which was a valid guess by the way Morgan was acting at the time hahaha

I recall passing by a building with high concentration of lamps in rows, which was supposed to be the abstract art in front of an office building. Morgan commented, "Why the fuck are these on?! Don't they know about the energy crisis?" Sometime after that, we turned around and hit up a 24 hour Ralphs. There were some chair displays set up in the aisles, which we picked the frozen foods aisle and lounged in there, eating ice cream. Pictures provided below. So then we left and passed by the same building with the light fixture art. Morgan made the same comment then said it was a deja vu.

We almost died on the trip home on the 405S. A bunch of merging lanes due to freeway surface cleaning because a minivan merged at the last second lol. So Morgan decides to drop Tin off first, whom had left all his things at my house, including laptop and backpack, which I have to take to him tomorrow morning.

Anyways, it was an epic night and I'm also out of money.

Here are some pictures from tonight and as well, pictures from last week at Royal-T cafe in Culver City with the Porta-Party.

Schooled

I'm taking the time to write this while I'm studying for a test which I believe will most likely prove to be somewhat a bitch. Not much has really happened this past week other than Chinatown and some fireworks that I shot up with Khiem and company. I got an 85 on my last test, which is ok, but a much better score than the test I took before that. This test I'm hoping isn't that hard because there wasn't really much to study for...it was mostly just applying a few things to a bunch of different scenarios. Unfortunately, I am oblivious towards many things so I'm hoping that this is a merciful test. It really isn't that hard of a chapter.

Mammoth!

So I just came back from Mammoth...I was gone from Thursday afternoon until around 7 tonight (Sunday). It was pretty chill. I went fishing one day, caught like 17 fish, but threw a LOT of them back, ended up catching my limit of 5 keeper size fish. Was nice. I managed to conquer two S class races in Gran Turismo and I didn't get as much sleep as I promised myself because the couch I slept on was quite uncomfortable. Otherwise, it was a nice trip with lots of good food :D!

Back to reality, I have a test tomorrow...ugh. I really wished that I didn't have Thursday off and could have just taken the test then because I forgot what I did for most of the damn chapter. Good game. I'll just have to study more to get it fresh in my mind. Vacation trips while going to school = sucky because when you return, you realize that you have a lot to catch up with.

Happy Birthday?

Well, since last time I've written here, its been about 5-6 days so here's a fair update with what's been happening lately: My birthday has passed on the 30th of June and I am once again poor. Thursday I went to Gyu-Kaku with Rikio, Danny, Tin and his cousins and we splurged there. I was quite sad with my wallet after that, though my stomach was pretty happy. Friday night i went to J-town and went to Daikokuya with Danny and Mike and his girlfriend. Saturday night I went to my grandma's house over in Marina to drop off Dustin and I got a haircut there. Sunday morning I was taking a shower and I somehow lost one of my plugs in the drain maybe, so I went to buy a new set, which I am pretty happy to have right now.

Come Monday, it was my birthday, which I spent at school from noon to 5:30 as usual, got a 60% on my first test and only one page of homework, which still took two hours to do. After that, I went to Admiral Risty for dinner with my family over in Palos Verdes, which was pretty great. Tin and Danny came by after and we had cake with had some crazy candles on it. Overall, not a bad weekend and was actually quite fun. Mike's birthday is tomorrow so I need to figure out what I'm getting him.

Study Habits

Well, we are approaching the end of the first week of summer class (For those taking the six week courses at El Camino), and six sections of notes later, we have arrived at the first exam night, which the exam will be taken at noon tomorrow on Thursday 「木」 and I believe that I will do well on it, or at least that's what I am hoping. I know most of the formulas for it so if I don't succeed, then I deserved it.

School days involve half an hour of driving for a round trip, a two hour class, and 2 hours at the library to do homework and necessary study. This will most likely be the daily schedule from Monday through Thursday 「月から木」 and I'll have Friday and the weekend to cool my brain off. Unfortunately, this is only for one class. I cannot fathom what might happen during the Fall semester of school.

So I think I have these formulas down. Going to go over them quickly with you all now.

30 (√3/2, 1/2)
45 (1/√2, 1/√2)
60 (1/2, √3/2)

Pythagorean Identities
sin^2 + cos^2 = 1
sin = ±√(1-cos^2)
cos = ±√(1-sin^2)
1+tan^2=sec^2
1+cot^2=csc^2

Ratio Identities

tan=sin/cos
cot=cos/sin

Reciprocal Identities

cot=1/tan
sec=1/cos
csc=1/sin

Time to get to work

First and foremost, I will begin with the most "On the surface topics," such as interesting findings. Thanks Khiem for this one,

http://www.popsci.com/military-aviation-space/gallery/2008-05/worlds-spookiest-weapons

And from that,

http://www.globalsecurity.org/org/news/2005/050608-gods-rods.htm

Anyways, I've been doing a lot of thinking and pondering out loud. With much recent motivation and events moving me along lately, I must thank everyone that's been in my life lately because everyone's helped me move along through school and finding a purpose in life. It's good stuff. Even Rikio has been picking up a new interest and I must give him props for finding his drive.

This is really strange, but I feel that I've picked up part of this drive by watching a simple anime, Minami-ke, and really I began watching it not expecting much, but after watching it for some reason, I feel that it has changed me in some way or another. I'm not sure, but it has something to do about the place they lived in that caught my interest. Why did that catch my interest? I keep asking myself. Again, I am unsure. I am mentioning this anime because of either a coincidence that I had my epiphany while watching this anime or a direct relation to it.

My original intentions in life consisted of architecture. I want to design homes and the like. I would like to design my own home one day. I have more interest when it comes to residential design because when you realize that you're drawing a place that people would live in, it places a higher importance on quality of work over a commercial or industrial project. This is why I have a preference to doing residential work.

I was reading in another one of my info books on Japan, this one being about work etiquette and I read for the millionth time about Japan's overpopulation issue. Japan has a mean population of about 128,000,000 people. In a place that is 145,883 square miles, the population is very dense, considering that most of the land is uninhabitable due to mountains and forests. Compared to California alone 163,696 square miles and having a population of about 36,500,000, there is a definite difference of density.

I've also picked up a book about maximizing space in a home by designing it a certain way and it is excellent. It shows all sorts of ways to design a house to optimize the utilization of given space in a place.

So what?

By connecting my want to be an architect and this problem at hand and my wanting to be a resident of Japan one day, I've come up with a colossal life goal: To help combat the population issue. Wouldn't it be interesting to be able to design a structure that could house more people comfortably while also being able to accommodate more people? I think so. This is my drive. I've been getting some positive reactions from friends and family and I think it'll be a good goal to strive for. Yes I know, it will probably be unnecessarily difficult to do, but if it can achieve some major wants in my life, then it is worth it.

So what's the plan?

To put it in a very compact nutshell, roughly the size of a peanut, get out of El Camino, transfer over to a 4yr school, Cal Poly SLO or Pomona, graduate, go from there. Figure out a way to build social networks in both USA and JP.

Right now for the summer, I am currently taking Math170(Trigonometry) in order to take some of the classes that I've arranged to take during the fall: Architecture 150A, Physics 2A, Math180(Pre-calc).

I told my mom this, and I'll tell it to you all. With my drive at full steam ahead, when I arrive there, my plane will crash land where ever it is destined to go to and out of the rubble, I will walk out of the plane, holding a large flag. It's going to be huge. This is the real deal.

Last Week of Break

This week has been quite uneventful, so there hasn't been much to write about. Danny got a new car...2001 Honda Civic EX coupe. Stick. Blue. Relatively clean for under $6,000. I've been writing quite a bit this week and just as well, been playing FF12. Getting my ass handed to me in Pharos Subterra ftl. Anyways, today Alex gave me a call and told me that I have to go to his graduation today at RUHS so I guess I'm doing that later. I had a sudden craving for natto so I asked my mom to pick up some of that at the store on her way home.

School starts on Monday so I'm ready for that, I guess. I still need to go buy my book, but there is no particular hurry to buy the book. Whatever lol

The Acacia Strain

Talk about a crazy show. There's nothing like watching a bunch of ppl getting elbowed/punched/kicked and a bunch of fights breaking out over nothing while a band is up on stage jamming their hearts out. So, I witnessed three fights, four people with bloody noses, myself getting hit numerous times by ppl in the pit, and a bunch of great bands playing live. As a result, I am half deaf, my vision is blurred, and I have a small lump on my cheek. It was a great show. The lineup included Dear Life, Since the Flood, All Shall Perish, and The Acacia Strain. My, my, what a nice set of bands. The opening band I forgot their name, but they were a group of prepubescent children with an Asian vocalist. I was utterly confused to see this and I was even more confused when I heard it. They were OK, nothing special. I'll give them a break since they're so damn young and opening for some rather widely known bands.

I woke up at 7 today to go work at Joe's. I picked up Mike and we went over. We worked from 8AM-2:30PM and then left. We spent the duration of that time trying to pull weeds from clay-like dirt, which proved to be extremely difficult. I was tired after THAT and it was only 3 when I got home. I took a shower then went to Sean's house to pick them up and drive to the show.

Now, I'm rather tired so I think I want to go to sleep. It would be really nice to do so.

From the World of Insanity and Back

Well, jury duty was only the most boring thing I've done in my life thus far. I went in at 8AM, sat there until 11:30, got let out for lunch, came back at 1:15, sat there until 3:15 before they released us. There was about a hundred people there and over half of them were taken in to be a part of the panel, I was luckily not one of them. However, I had to endure the most boring hours ever. My iPod is the only thing that kept me from crossing the borders of sanity. I'm glad that's over with. I got a new phone. Palm Centro in white. It's pretty cool. Somehow already misplaced the stylus but am thinking of a way to get a new one that will stay attached to my phone.

I went to help my dad with his wisdom teeth. I waited maybe less than 15 minutes while he was in. I helped him outside to my car to take him home. Before leaving, I was called in for a post-operation consultation by a Japanese girl in her twenties. After leaving, I sat in the car with my dad and asked if he wanted to get his Vicodin perscription at Rite Aid or not. However, he began to tell me to "Go after that girl that was talking to us because she was pretty cute" and I was like "Dude dad, I'm asking you about the Vicodin" and he says "Oh" I thought that was kind of funny.

I went to J-town today with Rikio and Tin...but Tin drove this time, holy shit. Yes, Rikio and I had the balls to take Tin on his first freeway drive to downtown LA of all places. Tin isn't that bad of a driver, really. Good stuff. I need to wake up at 7 to get ready and go to Venice to work for Joe at his Palm house to help with the gardening. Acacia Strain show tomorrow too, I'm going to be so freaking dead.

2008/06/11

Stupid.

First off I want to say that I have been summoned to go to jury duty after all. I am less than pleased with this because if things go badly enough, then this might fuck with school. I'd like to take a summer class and get ahead in school instead of being pent up in the courthouse.

On a brighter note, I've submitted an application to Golfsmith and hopefully I'll end up working there. Yes Golfsmith. It's going to be good stuff.

What brought about this motivation? Well, Danny, Rikio, and I went to a Honda dealer and I got to test drive a Fit because my brother's getting my car when he starts driving. I found my car. It's flippin' sweeeet. So I'm getting a job to start working my way up for that.

So I have to wake up at 7 tomorrow to get ready to go to this jury duty. Friday I need to wake up at 7 or 8 to take my dad to get his wisdom teeth pulled out and help him back home. Saturday I need to wake up at 6 to go work for someone at my temple at a house in Venice. Later that day on Saturday I'm going with Nigel and Sean to an Acacia Strain show, which is going to be freakin awesome.

Day Three

It's the third day of Artistic Adventures and we have pulled in some pretty awesome pictures. I'll be sure to post them on my website @ http://makoto.soudesune.net .

Today, I went to some parks with Rikio and Mike to get some photos of stuff. We ended up walking down some train tracks to find some flatbed cars that were sitting on the track. We got some nice shots of and around them. We went to Mitsuwa and had some food (I owe Rikio $8 or so) and then dropped him off and picked up Khiem and his friend. We went to TLJ for Khiem so he could purchase a cake for his dad. We then went to the Galleria mall and went up on the roof to think of a new place to hit up. We then decided to hit up the beach. We dropped Khiem off and Mike and I went to Palos Verdes to the gazeebo spot and went down to the beach and photographed some pretty awesome shots. I will be using some of them for the cover of my novel.

Had a barbecue at my house and the food was pretty awesome. I wasn't sure what was used, but it made me pretty happy. I went over to my grandma's house in Marina to pick up Dustin and raced home and some people along the way.

Mike and I photoshopped two of the photos so I'll be sure to especially put those up because they look great.

More Artistic Adventures

Well, I had another weird dream, to say the least, but it was kind of funny this time. It included Joannie and Mike, dont know why. It took place on Hawthorne Blvd. and we were students to some magical school. Mike suddenly springs up the suggestion of eating in his usual energetic tone and then I agree with him. I then jump off the sidewalk in front of a moving car and I die. I am then teleported in front of the restaurant that I wanted to go to and Joannie and Mike was waiting for me there. Apparently, in order to teleport, you had to kill yourself, which was really strange. I woke up sort of weirded out about that but it was funny anyhow.

Today was the day that I wanted to go to the airport to get some photos in but as we found out, it was nearly impossible to do so because parking sucks balls there. We went to In-n-Out and picked up some animal fries and went to pick up Khiem. We went to RUHS to take some pictures and had a good time there for a while taking pictures there. I found out that the resolution of my camera was not set to the resolution that I desired. It's okay though. I can go back and take more later. I believe that I have sparked a new hobby amongst some of my friends and it's good because we really have nothing better to do around here.

I also went to play basketball today and I got a rather good workout. I am pretty happy about that because I feel good now. I also learned that my shooting form needs a lot of work. After basketball, Tin, Mike, and I went to Alpine village and picked up some sausages. We then went to Nijiya and got some noodles. We went to my house and made some magical food in the kitchen. Kimchi fried rice, some noodles with green onion and garlic, and the cooked sausages. It was quite excellent.

The Dream & Artistic Adventures Part One

It started with a dream. A really messed up dream. I had a dream last night that had to do with a perscription drug that made people happy. Some kind of medical breakthrough that improved the well-being of people. This drug, everyone took, except for the few people whom I knew in the dream and myself. The drug turned out to be psychologically damaging and made people begin to freak out. By freak out I mean they were clutching their heads, screaming in pain as if they were feeling physical pain, but nothing was wrong with them. Some of them were screaming that they were on fire. So with the group of people that I was walking with, we ran away from the road because cars were crashing everywhere. We went into an alleyway where a group of guys with weapons stood us up. One had a fucking dagger and the other had a sixshooter pistol...Somehow we escaped without harm, but there were people that were still screaming their heads off about being in pain. That's when I forced myself to wake up. I woke up and I was like "What the hell was that!"

I played GTA4 for a bit and I felt like crap for the first half of the day. Rikio came by and we went to DiAngelo's later for pizza, which was really good, by the way. For $15, we got a pretty tasty pizza. After that, we didn't know what to do so we went into PV but we quickly turned around and we went back to my house. I grabbed the digicam and we went back to PV, hoping to make it up there before the sun went down. Unfortunately, the sun was down by the time we got there. What I wanted to do was take some shots but I guess I'll be doing that tomorrow. I'll post the results tomorrow! We went to the LAX in hopes of getting photos of the runway but after walking for four miles or so, we were unable to find a good spot for a runway picture. Maybe that will be best done during the day as well. We went to Marina Del Rey to a VONS to buy a DRINK and then we went HOME.

Wow well today, I took my last exam for the semester, which was Geometry. I went in thinking that it was going to be difficult but it was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. I was pretty stoked walking out of the classroom. It was a pretty nice feeling to know that I'm done with the semester. What sucks is that I have jury duty next week and I still need to find out whether or not I actually have to serve it or not.

I went over to a barber shop to meet up with Matt and Rikio after class and then Matt went to work. I stuck at Rikio's house and we eventually went to Mitsuwa to grab some bento and we took it back to his house and ate it while playing Halo 3. Tin and Evan came by later and we just fucked around for a while before Evan left. Danny came by and then we set off to K-town in search of food. The place we were counting on being open was closed, so we went on down to J-town and went over to Daikokuya. I guess they forgot about one of our orders of ramen but either way it was great. It was probably the best egg+pork I've had there yet. Anyways, after depleting my wallet, we left and then went home. Here I am, typing this to you. I WAS tired while in the car but like I said in the car to the guys, "I'm tired now but I bet you I'll be full of energy when I get home," I wasn't kidding because that's what actually happened. hahahaha

School will start again in two weeks, and I will be taking Math 170 (Trigonometry) with Tin. I hope that it'll be somewhat easy. I also hope that I can find a place that I'd be willing to work at for the summer, thought it is probably too late. I don't care. I don't want to work over the fall because I'll be taking more difficult classes and I am unsure how much time it will consume out of my schedule.

A New Layout!

Haha yay so I got a new layout for the blog. I could not pass up on the opportunity to use the picture of Enma Ai that I have up now.

School's ending. I have my Geometry final tomorrow. Turns out that it wasn't on Tuesday. I got hosed. =[ But anyways, it's fine. I'll just go in and take it. I think I'm ready... I hope I'm ready at least.

I haven't really been writing much in my blog lately and I don't know why. I guess I just haven't had much to say. I'm so boring! Why!!

For those that do not know, I'm making it public that I have had a writing project that I've been working on for quite some time now. I should be done by the end of summer. Ironically enough, it is titled, "The Summer's Ending" as a tentative title. It might be something that I'll stick with but hang on folks.

I guess I'll be hanging out with Timmy tomorrow and his new old Civic SI. I get to see it for the first time lol woohoo. Hurray for Timmy and saving gas.

Note to Self: New guitar strings for both acoustic and electric.

2008/05/30

lol wow

So this morning I woke up at eight and went to Chinatown at around 12. Rikio bought some shinies and Danny had to go back to service his Volvo, which failed smog test. We were at Chinatown for twenty minutes. Went back and picked Mike up. Danny came later and we played Gran Turismo 5: Prologue for a while before going to K-Town to get some soon tofus! at Tofu Village. We went back and dropped Mike off, and then we went to pick up German. We went driving for a bit, then dropped him off again. Failed, lol. I dropped everyone off and we went home. I'm freaking tired.

I went to Mammoth last week and it was pretty relaxing. Went up with the Tokirios and Haragas. I spent the whole time there eating and contributing to my long term projects. I suppose fishing was supposed to happen, but it ended up snowing, thus twarting the plans. I went outside maybe once between the time we got there and the time I left. After a grueling drive home, my head was pounding due to the fact that my iPod did not turn off once between the time we left Mammoth and the time we pulled into the driveway at home.

I've knocked down one class as far as finals go. I have two finals on Tuesday: History and Geometry. Then the last class I have is going to be Film. Woohoo.

2008/05/18

It's about time.

I got a new computer chair. I no longer have to use the dining room table chair. This one is actually merciful on my back. It's great. So today is Sunday and I have to work on an essay for History about Fredrick Douglass that is due on Tuesday. I also have a final presentation for English that needs to be worked on as well. Saturday I went to Chinatown and I was like a kid in a candy store. Next time I go down there, bringing more money is a must. Tomorrow I get to register for classes, which look open still. That's pretty good to know. I plan to be taking Math 170 over the summer, Physics 2A, Math 180, and Architecture 150A over the fall. This damn essay is annoying though. I don't know how to start it.

Speed Racer

So a bunch of things have happened since my last post, but I think I'm going to talk about the things that I actually remember. First of all, it is important to those whom may not know but Best Buy does not sell light bulbs. Recently, I have rearranged my room and my desk lamp's (most important light in my room) light bulb broke. Looking for a light bulb, I set out in search of one, and did not find any. Not very happy about that.

I saw Speed Racer today and holy shit was that a colorful movie. It was pretty intense and overall was a pretty good and entertaining movie to watch. I'd recommend it. Unlike the cartoons, the film is set in the future or something. Everything in the movie looks very high tech and everything seems to defy gravity. The racing cars are technologically way out of our league as far as technology goes. The cars had some kind of crazy reactor for an engine and each turn it executed was a hard powerslide, but all four wheels would move into the turn. It was quite interesting to see.

My room is very spacious now and my old large speakers have been reinstated. I would love to have a chair for my computer, as I am already sick of using my dining room table chair because it is very uncomfortable to sit on.

I just woke my mom up to give her her Mother's Day card and I think I scared her in the process, considering I snuck up beside her and I sprung up, yelling "Happy mother's day!" the moment it hit midnight. The card was in Braille.

I spent a lot of money today and I don't think I'll be buying lunch at school this week.

A visit to botanical garden

Members: Timmy, Jen, Tin, Darin

Mission: Go to a botanical garden the size of Disneyland in Pasadena.

Report: Originally asking for $20 from my mom, she gave me a single $20 bill and when I woke up this morning the bill was gone and replaced by a wad of singles. I didn't count it at the time so I went to 7-11 and bought me a monster and a Clif bar. It wasn't until after I walked out did I realize that my mom left me $13 in singles. Since I just spent 6 of that, I was short some cash. Tin said he'd pay for the rest. Good man. I go to El Camino to park and I wait in the blazing heat for 15 minutes for Timmy's Exploder and we were off. On the way, we took a little detour by the Dodger Stadium on accident and saw a bunch of children in police outfits. It was pretty strange but there was probably a game going on. After our adventurous little misadventure, we were back on the 110 and we eventually made it to Pasadena and found the gardens. When we got out of the air conditioned vehicle, I felt as if I had just stepped into a sauna. Enduring the entire day with nearly no money and no water, we left at around 3. I was hyper from the Monster I drank before and I was talking my head off the entire time, pointing out statues and naming them. I saw some freaky plants there and I saw a plant that I particularly liked. I forgot what it was called but it was a tree found in Japan, China, and Korea. It had skinny green branches and had small thin leaves that looked like maple leaves. Timmy knows what it is. I can now say that I've been to Japan and China. I'm a lot darker now and I'm a lot more sore than I was this morning. I like how I said I was going to study and finish my essay but I never really got around to it. I'll finish my essay in the morning and double up on my reading tomorrow. It is really hot and eczema sucks. My fingertips no longer feel like fingers. They're more like wood after playing guitar for three hours straight. I still have a craving for Chinese food and I'm almost due for recording time with my acoustic guitar.

Basketball

When I woke up this morning, I felt as if I had my arms and legs cut off, as I was unable to move. I lay in bed for fifteen minutes then I built the strength to turn on my computer monitor and see that ppl were already going to the basketball thing that was planned for today. I eventually stretched out the soreness and went to play basketball and learned that shooting needs a hop up to correct it. For those that don't understand that, my shooting was off, in a nutshell. An hour and a half later, we stopped and eventually I picked up my car and took Tin to 7-11 where I bought a 16oz Monster M-80 and Gatorade. Tin bought the BFC Monster. For those that don't know what the BFC is, it's an acronym for "Big Fucking Can." It's 32 ounces of Monster hell, which Tin managed to drink in about half an hour. I watched Alex and Mo play FIFA on the Xbox for like 3 hours while playing Pusoy with Tin. Tin became an adept at the game quickly and I don't think Alex won a single one of the games vs Mo. After, Mike wanted to go to the Alpine Village to buy some sausage and then go to Nijiya to buy Tofu and noodles. The final product was 3 blocks of fried tofu, 6 packages of stir fry noodles, 5 cups of steamed white rice, two different sauces, and 4 different kinds of sausage. It was a pro meal, but the noodles, which were probably loaded with MSG, filled us up very quickly. The rest of the night consisted of youtube and Gran Turismo 5. I have trouble walking because I'm so damn sore.

Tin doing exactly what he said he was going to do: Drink a 32oz Monster from start to finish in less than an hour.

Sore and Frusturated (;´д⊂)

Sore:

Today, I did the boxing thing again for another 45 minutes and I believe that my arms are a bit wider now. I also went running and played basketball for a good two hours? I'm pretty sore from it, but it's all a part of getting back into shape and it feels nice.

Frusturated:

Planning out the classes I'd take at El Camino until time of transfer is proving to be a frusturating experience. I'll need to schedule an appointment with my counselor, but it has come to my attention that I absolutely need to start caring more about my grades. As far as classes go, I plan to be taking Math 170(Trig) over the summer and maybe Speech 1. Fall, I might take Speech if I decide not to take it over the summer, Physics 1A, Math 180(Pre-Calc), and Architecture 150A. Every semester available, I will be taking architecture. The other classes are not definite and I'd like to spread out my schedule so I don't end up taking so much time for crazy classes but this is what I have for now. I'm hoping to be out of El Camino within two years.

Need to raise GPA.

Two essays for English woo. Chance to raise grade.

Midterm for History coming up. Woo chance to raise grade.

This Deserves Its Own Post

On the way back from the $10 K-BBQ place today, Rikio and I witnessed an SUV signalling to merge left, merge right, then proceed to make a right turn. with the left-hand turn signal still clicking. This world will soon be coming to an end.

Interesting...

Well, for those whom I have spoken to concerning the MPG that my car gets, I said it was 16MPG before. Well since I last filled my tank on Sunday, I've managed to raise my MPG to around 28. What did I do? :O I stopped driving recklessly and started driving more conservatively and I used freeway a lot. Sure, it's not as enjoyable to drive, but hey. I've almost cut my gas consumption in half. Normally, I'd go 235ish miles before I hit empty from a 15 gallon tank. I am now over 250miles since fill-up and I'm still over a quarter of a tank. Huzzah!

I'm rather sore still from the other day when Rikio decided to start teaching me how to fight. The soreness is nice, as much as it hurts. It's a feeling of satisfaction that I'm slowly getting back into shape.

I bought a capo for my guitar the other day and I'm quite happy with it. It's the best $20 I've spent in a while. Now for a new bass amp...

Another typical Friday

It's nice to have that feeling to know that time is just kind of lingering around and not really making much progress at all. I blame school. So for those that don't know, I've set my sights on the architecture path and so yeah. That's that. I'm going down that road.

Went to see Forbidden Kingdom today, and I think it was interesting how it was based on old cliche kung fu movies. Because I'm usually the one that has different opinions from everyone else in the group, I was probably the only one that thought it was pretty cool.

I was going to write more, but I forgot what I wanted to write and I'm getting really sleepy.

Fuck I'm boring

lolwut

So today, Jasmine and company came by and Danny, Tin, Evan, and Rikio were there to accompany us. Was pretty nice, even if it was a short time. We went to Islands and for some reason I was really hungry. Even after finishing the burger, I wasn't full. Something's wrong with me x.x

I've been playing a lot of guitar lately. Acoustic and on my electric. I think I'll start writing new material soon. Who knows when I'll get to recording it if at all.

I got the new Stick To Your Guns and Carnifex albums, they're pretty good but I like the STYG album more.

I barely finished writing my essay on Monday morning, the day it was due. I finished writing it at 11:20, I normally leave home by 11:15. I still made it to class on time by 11:45.

Good stuff. I cleaned my room too. Moved my bass amp into my closet, put both my bass and guitar in bags and stored in the closet so my room looks really clean now.

Alex's Birthday Party

First, allow me to say that I was not able to attend Alex's dinner portion of his party due to a rehearsal for my temple that happened to conflict with the dinner. I skipped dinner because of this. Three hours of doing nothing passes and I am able to leave at around 10pm. I drive straight back to Redondo and to Alex's house to find German, Mo, Danny, Stephanie, Mike, and Tin there. A few interesting conversations later, I find myself remembering that I pretty much had candy for dinner and we go to Taco Bell. This was a mistake, to say the least. For the rest of the night, I felt like crap. Around the time that Tin said he was going to go home with German, Joannie sends me a text asking whether or not I was sleeping. After saying no, I recieve a call, which is answered by Mike. I am unsure of what happened in that moment, but fate decides that I lose reception in Alex's house because his house is like a black hole for cell phones. It is very hard to get reception in there. So I lose the reception and I decide to leave. After suffering a mild form of hypothermia on the way to my car, I sat in my car, freezing my ass off for no reason at all until my heater started working. I tried calling back a few times but no luck. I drove back to my house and sat in my driveway for about 15 minutes before going inside.

Fucking Taco Bell.

Daiko...wtf90minutewait!...kuya!

Mike woke me up this morning and I wasn't planning on waking up any time around then. I ended up doing so anyways and we went to find Alex bday things. We met up with Danny and Stephanie and we went to the Ghettoria and eventually to the Del Amo mall and we stayed there for a long while before they left and Mike and I picked up Tin and we went to Mike's house for a while. We decided to go to Palos Verdes and chill for a bit. We ended up walking through an overgrown trail of death, inches from a 50 foot drop atop a cliff. Reaching the other side, we had to walk around back to the car. We then decided to go to downtown for some food. I've never waited longer to be called for a table before in my life. Tonight truly marked a milestone in my life. Fuck, an hour and a half Mike, Tin, and I waited for a table at Daikokuya in downtown LA. Didn't think that it would be that crowded on a Thursday night. We went over to a nearby store and bought some ice cream mochi which reinforced the idea that dessert before a full meal is retarded. By the time we were seated, I was freaking hungry again. After having the best ramen ever, we went home. Just wanted to share the ramen story because that place is awesome.

Mammoth, Part Two

Oh man, after that, we went sledding on a hillside which went down at about a 45 degree slope, almost completely icy and we hurt ourselves for a little while before stopping to eat and eventually leaving. We went back to the condo and just watched a bunch of movies. The next day, we went to go to buy gifts at a bunch of stores and Tin went and spent about $100 on stuff. I got a card and this crazy book for my dad for his birthday. After buying gifts, we went to look for a game store, and we stumbled across a Mexican owned shop which had some unopened rare games that German was interesting in buying. After doing a little bit of research, German attempted to bargain a $70 game for $40. We waited outside and he walked back out no longer than 30 seconds later, saying that the lady got mad at him because he tried to get it for a steal. We went back to the condo and watched a bunch of movies after that.

Finally, the trip home came and this trip made everything very, very interesting. Danny insisted on cruise controlling our way home at 75 mph and we cruised our way to a gas station in the middle of nowhere, about 50 miles from Mojave. We picked up subway and after eating, left. It was after we reached Lancaster did things become interesting. There was an Accord that was kind of weaving in an out of the carpool lane (double yellows, even) and a Ford Fusion was hauling ass. Danny said "Hell no" and we raced for about 30 miles until we reached the 5 freeway, and she went on the 5. Tin eventually wrote his number on a piece of paper and wrote "Call me" and she freaking called...I don't think I stopped laughing for about half an hour. Tin got her name lol win. Funny thing was, she had a 310 number. Now I'm home. German's home washing his clothes. Mike, Tin, and Danny are over.

Sunday, Mammoth trip

Friday, I went with Tin and Mike to downtown and went to a place called Tofu Village, which was pretty damn good for $10. After that, we went to CeFiore in J-town and had some frozen yogurt. By the time I got home, it was 10:30 and Danny and German came right after I got home. I didn't get to sleep until 2 and I woke up at around 5ish to get on the road. Didn't get to Mammoth until 10ish. Went to the ski shop to rent skis for everyone and then we went to lunch at a burger place by the North Village. After that, we went to go airsoft at some remote place and the guns sucked but they were cheap. We were pretty tired after but it really wasn't that bad. Got some pizza and played games for the rest of the night. Today, woke up at 9 and went to hit up June Mountain and its the last day of ski season. After six runs, we went back. German and Tin only went down once. gg. But now we're just sitting in the condo now and watching Dog Soldiers after returning ski gear. To be continued.

Friday, wth.

For some reason I didn't think that I would survive this week because this week was, well, strange. I'm actually really tired from it. And the worst part about all this is that I don't even remember what happened Monday. Maybe nothing worth mentioning happened because this week has been really lazy. I think every single day, I've had friends at my house. It's hard to get a day's worth of time to my own thoughts nowadays. Life's become timeless and I think that's genuinely stupid for days like these. What I mean by that is that I've lost track of each day and every day seems like a copy of the previous day. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but I know that it will create problems in the future. I didn't go to History at all this week because I skipped on Tuesday and it was cancelled on Thursday so that's nice. I took a test for my geo class and I think I did well on that so that's nice as well. Rented Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for ps3 so I could play with Timmy and co, but it didn't work for some reason so, not so nice? It's a cool game, so that's nice, though. I changed my guitar strings. That's nice. I went to the $10 K-BBQ place and I don't feel like puking so that's nice as well. This blog entry sucks. Nature Valley cereal is awesome.

As of late...

Life is surreal. People have told me that visiting a foreign country is surreal. I wonder what that would be like if your own immediate home feels surreal. I think it is sad. I think my life is sad. It is a sad thing that once people reach this stage in life, you either have a grip on your future or you don't. You are either set or you aren't. I know the words I am writing here are only my thoughts etched into a digital database, but ffs, I post here so people can read it. But it is entirely up to you whether you read this or not. If I end up talking to myself all the time, then so be it. That's just how it was meant to be and I'll be content with that.

I know that people don't often read things to the very end. I don't always do that either but I've learned that in many cases, the ending of things is the best part. This entry is mostly rhetorical so if you find any of this offensive, then...just don't.

Anyways, it has been a reoccuring question to me...what am I doing? Everything. Life is in bad shape for me and I don't know how to fix it. I'm not the only one that feels this way about their own life and I know that many of you that are reading this are able to relate. It is a truly terrible feeling to be almost ready to move on in life and have close to no idea what you are planning on doing. My question to you, the reader, is whether you find that in any way, a deterrance to my existence?

Arrogance.

The heart of my problem lies with motivation. My motivation's a vehicle and I'm running on empty, but that is okay. I was running on 89 until then when I need 91 to operate correctly.
I know that I'm missing motivation. That's completely obvious. I have stated it countless times to many of you. As far as school goes, I have no real reason to go right now. I'm just going to go just in case something comes along later. I am not enjoying this at all. School is more depressing than it is enlightening and every day feels the same. Every day seems to just drag on and I'm supposed to just go along with it.

I'm just missing motivation. But this is complicated. It will take a lot of effort to bring it back. I'm tossing dice and if this doesn't work, then I'm out of options. This sucks.

Tin's Birthday (Continued)

So we did end up going to the Japanese place on 182nd and Western and it cost a whole $50 for me because I had to spot Rikio. We did end up going in suits. Danny, Mike, Tin, and I showed up in suits. I actually had on jeans and my hat for spice, but it was great anyways. So we ate our hearts out and lost a lot of money there then left to see an Evo 9 parked right outside which I got pictures of.

We then went to Albertsons and bought a carton of milk and a container of chocolate syrup along with two packages of cupcakes and some candles. So after getting kicked out of Alta Vista park by a cop, we went to Famima where we stabbed 19 candles in a 1" diameter cupcake and we lit them all up and sang happy birthday for Tin. We did it twice actually because the first time was so damn spectacular. Basically, we made a flaming fireball of a cupcake.

And so, we had our straight edge birthday thing for Tin by having cupcakes and chocolate milk. The Stawberry Shortcakes had developed our own LARPing system. We each made nicknames for ourselves which I forgot some of them. We also finished classifying our own classes. Danny is our warrior and paladin, Stephanie is Scholar, Mike is black mage, Rikio is monk, Tin is ninja, Timmy is samurai, Calvin is white mage, German is merchant, Rayna is ranger, Sean is bard, Nigel is dancer, Christian is engineer and I forgot the rest , lol too many to name. But anyways, after destroyed the second package of cupcakes (we never got around to it) we took the remaining ice cream that we bought(1.25gal of ice cream that we only ate top layer of) and we gave it to one of danny's friends. But after that we went to Hermosa to yell at drunk people, which we never got to do because Danny totally juked me and made a U-Turn and then it just got retarded there, so I'll leave that part out, but after we finally regrouped, someone wanted to go to a porn shop so Sean and I followed Danny's car and went to a porn shop only to see that it was closed. That's when we went to Del Taco I think? lol I forgot. Danny didn't want to go to drive through the Drive-Thru so we decided to walk-thru. They never answered us and another car came anyways so we stepped to the side. Danny said "Watch this!" then as the other car's ordering, he yells "I WANT A CHICKEN SOFT TACO!" After doing it again, the guys in the car were like "HEY WTF!" then they got out of the car as we were walking back to the car. They turned out to be like locs of some kind but the one guy that came walking to our cars realized that there were about eight of us, then went back to his car to get his friend. By this point, we're laughing at him and he doesn't get near us. Needless to say most of us were ready for a fight but it ended up not happening. After that ppl just started to go home because it was around 3AM by then. That's all I will write about because I just remember being tired and getting a fish taco. End of story.

Tin's birthday

So the time is 6:41PM and today is Tin's birthday dinner even though his actual birthday was a week ago. Today was quite the adventure getting to Venice to go to the body shop to get my bumper replaced, finally. I had finally built the incentive to go and call in so that I could take my car in to get its bumper fixed. So soon after I got that fixed and then went home. On the way to Venice, Danny came along in his Jeep. We had a lot of crap happen on the road including merging into other lanes and clearing so I could get in and lots of cuts and stuff. There was one instance where Danny merged over and drove slow so that I could get over but another SUV decided to drive in the shoulder to get around him. It was great. But yeah Tin wants everyone to dress in a suit so I'm going in a Hawaiian shirt. Will edit and add more later.

First post

I find it interesting that every once in a while after being bored and having nothing to do, suddenly have a dozen things on my hands that I need done before I sleep. Such a thing occured to me last night before I decided that it was late. I spent hours last night trying to find music that I've neglected to find otherwise and before I knew it, it was 3AM before I was able to sleep. This happens to me often, and it is no surprise. The only thing about it is that I needed to wake up at 10AM to get ready for school, which I handled nicely. This weekend, I am going to Mammoth Mountains for a weekend trip, but I am kind of skeptical about this trip because I have a decent amount of homework. Because it is a vacation spot, it is not common to find a wifi spot to gain access to the internet. This I need this weekend. It would cause me much grief if I am not granted internet because I won't be able to do my homework until Sunday night when I get home, which will not be very fun because I have to have it ready for class by Monday morning. All I can do right now is just hope that there is internet at the place I'm going to.
